WestClay Attractions
The Meeting House is a three-story Greek Revival structure on Meeting House Green. This beautiful community building features meeting rooms, banquet facilities and clubrooms and has become a popular venue for both public and private events.
Provost Park Clubhouse & Recreation Area includes a pool, tennis courts, fitness equipment and an aerobics room. A beautifully furnished clubroom is available to residents for community or private functions.
The University Green is a public open space where the wrought iron Victorian Gazebo, Founders' Corner and the croquet court are located. Many WestClay community activities take place in here including the annual Ice Cream Social and Croquet Tournament. In the warm months outdoor weddings are held on The University Green.
Founders' Corner is a children's play area on the corner of University Green across from the Brownstones on Glebe Street, and features a variety of playground equipment, including a puppet theatre, a sandbox and a large checkerboard.
Connor Trail, a walking, jogging and biking trail, meanders throughout the Village Center and the neighborhoods of The Village of WestClay.
Harrison Park, a parkland with ponds, extends from the Village Center to Hourglass Lake at the northeast corner of The Village of WestClay. A Nature Preserve is proposed in an existing wooded area.
Webster Park features 2 pools overlooking Dogwood Pond, a clubhouse and 2 tennis courts situated in the woods.
Coxhall Gardens is a modern day park located adjacent to The Village of WestClay. A centerpiece surrounded by beautiful rose and tulip gardens will contain a gazebo, fountains, and tiered lawn seating. The gardens will be well complemented by crystal blue water fountains. This 125-acre park will also have many specialty gardens. A children's garden and futuristic playground will be added for the community to enjoy. A rabbit hole slide, peek-a-boo hills, a storefront village, and educational elements will allow children to let their imaginations run wild.
